If you receive an email, text message, or telephone inquiry asking for your personal information, DO NOT RESPOND!

NEVER give out your Debit or Credit Card number, 4-digit PIN number, or the 3-digit security code on the back of your card, UNLESS you initiate a purchase whether by telephone or through the Internet using a secure site.

Counterfeit Cashier's checks

 are being fraudulently issued drawn on The Poca Valley Bank. These counterfeit checks do not have our telephone number or web address listed below our bank name on the front of the check (Top -center). Please feel free to contact us at 1-304-577-6611, during normal business hours (EST) . Or you may send a copy of the front of the check to FAX # 1-304-577-6507 to verify the validity of any Cashiers Check drawn on The Poca Valley Bank. Please remember to include a reply contact number (specify if it is a phone or FAX contact).

FDIC has circulated an alert to all financial institutions. 


Fraudulent emails

 are being received by our customers from some email accounts. The email requests they input their ATM-Debit Card Number and PIN used at the ATM machine. DO NOT RESPOND! DELETE THE EMAIL MESSAGE IMMEDIATELY!

The Poca Valley Bank does NOT ask your ATM PIN number on the telephone or via email. 

 


PVB ANYWHERE Internet Banking Customers

For security purposes, you will be prompted to change your password at least every six months.

PVB will NOT use a pop-up window or an email to request that you provide a new PIN or password. 

Hackers will create & run a web page that looks similar to a bank, then requests the bank customer to immediately change their PIN.

The changed PIN is accessible to the hackers if you go to their website by clicking a link contained in an email from them.

The Poca Valley Bank does NOT collect personal information on anyone visiting our Website.
